Habitat of Henderson Dedicates Home to Walker Family

FHLB Cincinnati and Habitat for Humanity of Henderson were on hand while the Walker family received the keys to their new home on November 15 during a dedication ceremony in Henderson, Ky. With the construction completed by Henderson Habitat and many volunteers, the family was overjoyed to become homeowners—something they were uncertain they would ever experience.

“If I owned a home, I could show my son anything is possible because we would live fully in our place and be 100% safe,” Caitlin Walker said.

The home was funded, in part, by FHLB’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP). Nearly $900,000 in AHP grant funds have been awarded to FHLB member Field & Main Bank for the benefit of Habitat for Humanity of Henderson since 2005. Congratulations to the Walker Family and all the partners who helped make their dream possible.
