FHLB Cincinnati’s Pay Equity Commitment

August 19, 2022

We believe in the importance of a gender-balanced and diverse workplace and strive towards an equitable work experience for all.

Women’s equality is essential for thriving communities and organizations, and as an organization and member of the Cincinnati community, we are committed to providing an equitable employment opportunity for women and all employees.

As we approach Women’s Equality Day, which commemorates the certification of the Nineteenth Amendment on August 26, 1920 that gave women the right to vote, we continue to look for ways we can act on our commitment to equity. We are signing the Hamilton County Pay Equity Commitment and pledging to do our part to continue to ensure pay parity between men and women.

By signing the pledge, we make a commitment to the following:

  • Acknowledging the critical role business leaders play in reducing the gender pay gap.
  • Continuing the annual Bank-wide gender pay analysis across departments, job grades and occupations and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensuring every new hire offer fits into our current pay structure and does not create any pay imbalances across gender or races / ethnicities.
  • Reviewing hiring and promotion processes and procedures to reduce unconscious bias and structural barriers.
  • Offering equitable development opportunities such as mentoring, our Prepare and Empower Program and other leadership development activities.
  • Embedding equal pay efforts into broader enterprise-wide equity initiatives.
  • Pledging to educate ourselves on other best practices that will ensure fundamental fairness for all employees, including those that specifically help ensure pay parity.
  • Supporting workplace wellbeing by providing access to essential women’s products.

As we strive for inclusion, fairness and equity for all, we commit to continually review our policies and practices to identify and act upon further opportunities for improvement. We pledge to continue taking action individually and collectively to promote pay parity and career opportunities for all FHLB Cincinnati employees.
