YWCA Dayton receives $1 million AHP grantDecember 12, 2017
FHLB Cincinnati has awarded a $1 million grant to help special needs households in Dayton, Ohio. The grant was awarded to YWCA Dayton through FHLB members KeyBank and the Cincinnati Development Fund.
FHLB CEO Andy Howell presented a $1 million Affordable Housing Program check to representatives of YWCA Dayton, the Cincinnati Development Fund and KeyBank. The funds will be used to help renovate the YWCA Dayton’s flagship downtown building, which was built in 1913 and last renovated in 1961. Shannon Isom, CEO, YWCA Dayton; Joe Huber, COO, Cincinnati Development Fund; Joey Williams, Dayton Market President, KeyBank; and Geoff Daniels, District Representative, Senator Sherrod Brown’s office spoke at the presentation.
The $12.3 million project will renovate 65 units of permanent supportive rental housing at the YWCA for low- and very-low income households, many of which have special needs. Read media coverage of the check presentation here and here.
