Scholar House Opens in Newport, Kentucky

The Brighton Center of Newport, Ky., officially opened a 48-unit facility developed to help low-income single parents complete their college education. The Scholar House facility boasts two- and three-bedroom units, a certified childcare facility and other case management services. A program was held October 28 to celebrate the opening of the facility.

FHLB Cincinnati member institution Heritage Bank provided the funding for the development of the Scholar House . The project is partially funded by a $659,000 FHLB Cincinnati Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant. This is the 10th Scholar House built in Kentucky, many of which have received AHP funding.
